J&M Take Washington D.C.

If I lived on the east coast, fall would totally be my thing. We spent the last few days in Washington DC indulging in the yellow to burnt orange gradient of trees, bundling up against the chill, reliving favorite museums (American History for me, Air & Space for M), and spending quality time with a faraway cousin! The intention of this trip was to run the Marine Corps Marathon, which then turned into a 10k due to the hamstring (boo), but this trip was more than that.

You know a trip is good when it includes hot tea and lasagna in your cousin's cozy brick apartment, roaming the surrounding neighborhoods, delicious meals, seeing the sunrise on the National Mall, a quick 6.2 miles, and ending your day with crispy perfectly shaped leaves stuffed in your purse.
