I haven't posted any inspiration posts since, well, the first one. Rather than finding a bunch of images online and re-blogging them, I want to try documenting inspirations that I collect outside of the Internet, whether it objects, street signs, magazine spreads, whatever. There are just way too many good things online to document them all - that's what Pinterest is for, right?! I'm sure I'll re-post pretty things every so often, but for now, I'll resist.
This week's inspiration comes in a different form. Recently, we finally hung our floating shelves in our bedroom and I've been spending a lot of time trying to curate the right balance of frames, objects, memories, and textures.I've been finding a lot of gorgeous imagery in catalogs and magazines these days, which is where I collected the soft sky print and the bold "Lucky Peach" magazine cover. For some varying texture, I added a funny geometric llama with a broken ear, a found branch frame filled with one of my favorite sunsets I've ever experienced, and a jar of seashells collected in Thailand this past winter.
Oh, and we finally painted our walls from bright blue to a "whisper rain" gray thanks to my younger sister's help! So, mix those pretty walls in with the collected stuff and, really, its just a bunch of stuff that makes me happy to wake up to.
