Summer Solstice 2013

When the season starts out with a big bag of take-out, a six-pack of summer beer for two, and eating with the sun in your eyes with your favorite, you know you're onto something good. Per tradition, we celebrated the summer solstice with a low-key picnic in the sunniest spot of the tiniest park we could find, hanging out until the sun slipped behind the trees. Despite living in the fog most of the time, we're lucky to be able to easily escape to Marin for 10 degrees of warmer weather and a bit of nostalgia. Plus, crossing the golden gate also means spontaneous drives up to headlands to check out the bridge at night.
