There is flour covering the counters and crumbs all over the floor a result of our gloomy Saturday baking adventure. What started as a brainstorm that left us in our pajamas until late into the afternoon turned into time in the kitchen whipping cream and getting dough stuck between our fingers. Bread dough was made between whipping our white chocolate parfaits and freezing lime granita. The rain poured and the dough sat...for eighteen hours, was folded early in the morning, and after two more patient hours - this! Fresh, steaming bread with delicious crackly crust. Spread with almond butter, it was the perfect snack!
