Here's to our little slice of summer, wrapped up in a week of coastal views, sandy toes and paws, and funny tan lines. We semi-spontaneously escaped the fog this week for a quick getaway down the Pacific Coast Highway, through dry farmland, and ending up in an eclectic Santa Barbara apartment with our pup in tow. I loved that we slowly crept to our destination, making sure to stop at gravel side roads to take in the views, to fail at self-timed jumping pics, and to walk the tiny downtowns of tiny towns. I'm thankful for the chance to eat outside for every meal, to enjoy the golden hours, to hang out on the beach for hours, and to really get away from our computers. And lucky for us, San Francisco seemed to clear up since we last left - does that mean summer may actually just be starting?
